Hello everyone, I hope you had a very good weekend.
Here in UK, the summer has been very benevolent with peak temperature reaching over 27 degrees Celsius in London; that is a tropical climate.
It is not surprising that many people are now complaining about the heatwave and the possibility of a drought; for a country that is used to wet and cold weather.
At the same time, the water companies are trying to enforce rules to limit water wastage. This is not good news for those of you that love to water your gardens, lawns, flowers and keep them evergreen.
Anyway, I love the sunshine and I can not get enough of it🌞 What about you?
This brings me to the metaphorical topic for this newsletter: ☀️SUNSHINE & ROSES 🌹
The reality of life is that the seasons of your life is not going to be all roses and sunshine.
Even though there would be seasons of storms, challenges and opportunities in your life, it is how you respond to these periods that matter most.
Therefore, It is always good to have positive expectations, instead of negative expectations that are driven by fear and anxiety.
However, it is good to hope for the best, but to be prepared for the worst.
At this point you might be asking, but how do I prepare for the worst?
My first suggestion is that you should develop the capacity of your mind; because if you can defeat the enemy within, the enemy on the outside can not intimidate you.
This brings me to my main point; your thoughts will always create your reality.
Hence, when your thoughts are driven by fear and anxiety, your actions and emotions would be influenced by your dominant thought pattern.
This is why your emotions can either evoke the hormones of stress and anxiety, or happiness and gratitude, depending on your dominant thought patterns. And consequently, create either positive or negative impact on your mental and physical health.
In the words of Lao Tzu, “Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.”
The book of Proverbs says, “As a man thinks in his heart so is he.”
This brings me to my next point; emotions are energy in motion. And energy will always flow where your mind and attention are focused.
According to the Law of Cause and Effect, to change the effect, you have to first change the cause.
Therefore, whatever seed you plant in the garden of your mind will surely produce a harvest either to your advantage or disadvantage, according to the kind of seed of words and thoughts planted.
Likewise, to change any negative or unhealthy thought pattern requires changing what your mind focuses on (dominant thoughts). That’s why my favourite book says “be transformed by renewing your mind.”
In conclusion, the greatest personal transformation starts with the process of reprogramming the mind with Empowering Affirmations, Self-talk, and Belief System that are congruent to your Unique Identity.
