Your Self-talk Therapy Part 3💎

I hope you are looking forward to another relaxing weekend, but before you dash out; I want to share a few thoughts that can be very helpful to the improvement of your emotional, mental health, spiritual and physical well-being.

I want to start this episode by reminding you that the major key to living a happy life is by leveraging the attitude of Gratitude, Positive Self-talk and Affirmations.

️✍️I recently came across the research which stated that “An average person has about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those thoughts, 80% are negative and 95% are repetitive thoughts.’’

This means that most people think negatively way more than they think positively.

✍️Your personal communication with yourself can be referred to as Self-talk or Internal dialogue. This is a natural cognitive process.

How do you respond when you are under pressure or faced with challenging circumstances?

✍️Oftentimes, most people will respond with negative self-talk when they face obstacles or challenges in life.

However, your thoughts control your internal and external dialogue (self-talk) and determine your decisions and actions. Hence, fear, anxiety, and hopelessness can cause people to use negative self-talk to speak to themselves either silently or loudly and begin to act accordingly.

‘’Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.” Lao Tzu

✍️Hence, if you desire a change in any area of your life, you must first change your self-talk and the thought patterns that control those results.

In the words of Albert Einstein, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”

✍️This brings me to my main point; Self-talk Therapy empowers you to become the Prophet of your Destiny by using Positive Self-talk and Affirmations, instead of becoming the Victim of your circumstances by using Negative Self-talk.

Self-talk Therapy is a process of deconstructing false paradigms, limiting beliefs, imposter syndrome, negative self-image, and all forms of self-sabotage by leveraging Daily Positive Self-talk and Affirmations to your advantage.

✍️The major reason the use of Positive Affirmations and Self-talk Therapy is an essential daily habit is that it is the key to overcoming negative thinking by reprogramming your mind with empowering belief system, new self-concept, and self-image that is congruent with your unique identity.

The human mind is like a garden, and it will always produce a harvest of the seed of words planted in it.

✍️Hence, the use of Daily Positive Self-talk and Affirmations will help you to repeatedly plant the good seed in the garden of your mind and disrupt negative thought patterns, negative self-talk, and self-limiting beliefs.

My favourite book says, ‘’Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.’’

✍️This brings me to my final point; to become the Best Version of yourself demands that you must first cultivate intentional daily habits of Purpose-driven Personal Transformation. And that includes leveraging your Positive Self-talk and Affirmations to overcome negative thinking and self-talk, limiting beliefs and all forms of self-sabotage.
