The Power of Self-Identity💎

I hope your week has been productive and you are looking forward to a good weekend.

✍️In today’s Newsletter, I want to share a few thoughts on the topic I titled, ”The Power of Self-Identity💎”

I would like to start with the following statement:

How you describe yourself is more important than how other people describe you. Likewise, how you see yourself (Self-image & Self-identity) is more important than other people’s opinions of you.

📌At the workplace you will be defined by your job description and designation.

📌In the marketplace you will be defined by your niche and business aspirations.

📌In a polarized society some people will define you by your racial background, religious or political affiliations, and others will define you by your sexuality or gender identity.

However, in a world that is grappling with Identity Crisis, the label or identity you accept becomes your Self-identity and Self-fulfilling Prophecy.

✍️This brings me to the next point; just like peeling off the layers of an onion to get to the juicy part, likewise, the journey to the discovery of your Unique Personality or Identity starts with the peeling off of the layers of all forms of self-sabotage, and the layers of environmental and societal mind conditioning.

✍️This journey marks the turning point for personal discovery and transformation, because redefining yourself requires the reprogramming of the mind with an Empowering Belief System and Self-image.

✍️Hence, the Power of Self-identity empowers you to redefine yourself according to your Uniqueness and break away from the herd mentality, identity crisis and various forms of self-sabotage associated with other people’s opinion and expectations.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson,  ‘’To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
