I would like to kickstart today’s discussion with this statement from the Bestselling Author and Motivational Speaker Dr Myles Munroe; ”When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable.”
Do you know that you are a Phenomenal Masterpiece with unlimited potential?
✍️This brings me to my main point; no one can live a purpose-driven life and maximise his or her potentials with a distorted and confusing self-identity and awareness.
Hence, part of the reason why the global communities are witnessing the rise of Identity crisis, especially among the youths is mainly because of self-doubt, self-limiting beliefs, polarisation, gender ideology, and all forms of self-sabotage that have compromised their Uniqueness and limited their potentials.
In the words of Albert Einstein, ”If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its entire life believing that it is stupid.”
The foregoing brings to mind the story of a young lion called Tigat who was adopted by a farmer.
As the cub settled into his new environment, he started feeding and roaming around with the farmer’s sheep.
One day the flock was attacked by a lion as they were grazing. The surviving sheep alongside Tigat escaped.
The next day as Tigat was drinking water from the stream, he observed that the image reflected from the water was similar to the lion that attacked them the previous day. He was overwhelmed with fear and wanted to run.
However, as he stared at the water again something magical happened. Through self-awareness,Tigat realised that it is his self-image that was being reflected in the water. And it became clear to him that he was born a lion but has been living as a sheep.
That brief moment of self-awareness transformed the life of this young lion because it empowered him to discover his true Identity and Potential
✍️ In the same vein, when you discover your UNIQUE IDENTITY, it will unlock your Limitless Potentials and empower you to maximise those potentials to fulfill your purpose in life. For example, birds were born with wings that enable them to fly effortlessly.
Similarly, the fish thrives in the water because it was born with the potential to fulfil that purpose. The same applies to you because you are a Phenomenal Masterpiece, born with Unlimited Potential that makes you UNIQUE.
✍️ However, the only thing that can stop you from becoming the Best Version of yourself is if you allow self-limiting beliefs, self-doubt, and other people’s opinions and ideologies to negate your unique identity and become your reality.
In the words of Albert Einstein, “Everyone is born a Genius, but the process of living de-genuises them.”
