6 STEPS TO OVERCOMING IDENTITY TRAP & CRISIS

You are in an identity trap if you are currently living a fake life to satisfy the expectation of other people\’s opinion of who you ought to be.

This issue cuts across all facets of every society, including; religion, politics, business, relationships, education, cultural inheritance, ethnicities, etc.

Identity crisis has become so endemic and trans-generational, such that many children are raised to accept the labels that the society placed on their parents and live their lives accordingly.

Identity trap fosters mental enslavement and conformity to institutional ideologies that stifles creativity and the uniqueness of humanity.

The greatest weapon of any oppressor is to perpetuate ignorance and subjugation, through the generational miseducation of the masses.

And the promotion of ideologies that divide and segregate their citizens along political, racial, religious, gender, ethnic, cultural, social class and all forms of identity traps.

However, my favorite book says, \”For if you embrace the truth, it will release more freedom into your lives.\” John 8:32 (TPT).

Every human being has a unique identity, which is expressed in terms self-concept, sense of meaning and purpose.

If you don’t have a self-concept and understanding of what you want in life, you will settle for anything that comes your way; because you can never succeed beyond the limitations of your own belief.

Your belief system would become your reality. This is the reason why a limiting belief system is an identity trap and a form of modern day enslavement.

To maximize your potentials, you must first unlearn the myths, opinions and limitations you have acquired regarding your personal identity and purpose in life.

This is because whatever or whoever you constantly blame for your lack of success; you have ignorantly empowered against your success.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.\”

We live in a world where on daily basis we are reminded of our limitations, rather than our potentials and unique identities.

The purpose of this discourse, is to remind you that you are very special and unique, no circumstances or opinion can change that.

Whenever you accept anyone else’s assessment or opinion of you as a reality, you become entrapped by their judgement and validation. Hence, you inadvertently place a glass ceiling to your limitless potentials and progress.

Notwithstanding, you can re-write and re-design the story of your life because someone else\’s opinion of you doesn\’t have to become your reality and personal identity.

This year 2020, gave rise to a new awakening among the youths around the world; who have woken up the sleeping giants within them.

Many of them are now demanding equal right and equitable share of the national resources from governments, institutions and dynasties, that have hitherto subjugated and deprived them of their entitlements.

The following are the six steps to overcoming identity traps and crisis:

1Recognise Your Uniqueness: The solution to identity-crisis is to embrace the fact that you have a unique identity and that makes you a Masterpiece

I like this quote from Albert Einstein, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

2Identify Your Purpose: you were not born on this planet earth by accident, you are alive today because you have a unique purpose and role to play, before you exit this planet.

That purpose should contribute to inspiring and adding value to other people\’s live, rather keeping them in servitude.

3Redefine Your Story: All the challenges, failures or success you have experienced so far, are to prepare you for that unique purpose. And not to limit your potentials to other people\’s opinion of yourself.

The challenges you face in life can either make you bitter or make you better.

4. Identify and Delete Wrong Files: Make up your mind today to identify and begin to de-construct every limiting beliefs, ideologies and mental strongholds that have kept you in the bondage of identity crisis and entrapment.

This might mean that you would have to unlearn the myths, opinions, perceptions and limitations you have accepted as your reality.

My favorite book says, \”Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.\” Romans 12:2 (TPT).

5. Know Thy Self: In a world led with a herd mentality and racial profiling, standing out from the pack is not always easy but it is often the only way to walk your true-life path.

I like this quote, \”You were born an original, don\’t die a copy.\”

6. Use Affirmation: If you don\’t remind yourself of who you are, anyone can call or label you what you are not, to negatively influence your identity.

Here are some examples of affirmations I normally use:  You can follow these examples to create your own affirmation to suit your purpose.

1. I am God\’s Masterpiece because I am masterfully crafted and branded for excellence, with a unique identity that separates me from the crowd.

2. I am always strategically positioned to attract the right people and opportunities.

3. All things work together for my good, therefore, I can never be disadvantaged.

4. I have limitless potentials and I am unstoppable

5. I\’m amazing, I\’m strong and I\’m happy with my unique identity

6. I love myself just the way I\’m, because I\’m a treasure of inestimable value.

I hope you find these nuggets very useful and inspiring.  I look forward to your comments

How To Cultivate Post Covid Winning Mentality

There is always a winning mentality and strategy that accompanies every successful venture, especially during global crisis such as pandemic or economic depression.

“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.” H.P. Lovecraft.

Lovecraft wrote those words in the 1920’s and they still feel as relevant today and as they were then, especially when we face times of change or crisis in any aspect of our lives.

Overcoming fear during such crisis, requires an extraordinary courage (faith) to maintain forward motion and remain intrepid in the presence of commotion and uncertainty.

However, courage is not the absence of fear but the conquest of it by faith.

Fear is oftentimes driven by negative expectancy and belief system. It has been said that FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real. Conversely, faith is driven by positive expectancy and belief system.

The main relationship between fear and faith is that both requires strong expectancy over the manifestation of something that has not yet become a reality.

Hence, there is a thin line between fear and faith, making it possible to replace fear with faith by changing what your mind focuses on.  My favourite book says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline’’ (2 Timothy 1:7).

A post Covid winning mentality would require the replacement of fear with faith, to enable you face the future with positive expectancy and begin to see opportunities amid crisis.

Every crisis is the incubation for innovation, and it takes faith to drive the winning mentality required to continue innovating, even when many people are backing out with fear.

There is always a giant in every man\’s Promise Land and until you engage those giants and drive them out, you can not possess the land. Dealing with what you fear most marks the turning point to cultivating the winning mentality and overcoming the roadblocks you might face post Covid.

\’\’He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.\’\’ Mohammed Ali

This reminds me of King David, who was able to win every battle he faced during his reign as the king of Israel. He has the winning mentality that enabled him to win every battle, including the battle with the giant called Goliath.

King David said, \”The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?\” (Psalm 27:1). With his I-can-do mentality, King David won every battle he fought.

In conclusion, always remember that no condition is permanent, and every crisis has an expiry date. Your tenacity and resilience in the face of adversity or crisis is the winning mentality required to turn failure to success.

My favourite book says, \”If you fail to pieces in a crisis, there was not much to you in the first place\” (Proverbs 24:10 MSG).

Golden Nuggets Volume1

Any boxer can be knocked down, but only the boxer who refused to be knocked out, wins the fight.

Likewise, in life it\’s not what happens to you that matters, but how you respond to it that matters the most.

There is no better way to illustrate this point than to refer to the Heavy weight boxing fight between Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz.
Anthony lost unceremoniously to the underdog Ruiz, but responded well in the rematch to regain his Heavyweight title.

Simply put, every champion was once a failure that refused to accept defeat.

My favourite quotes for the day:

\”Don\’t give up and be helpless in times of trouble.\” Proverbs 24:10 CEV.

\”Putting confidence in an unreliable person in times of trouble is like chewing with a broken tooth or walking on a lame foot.\” Proverbs 25:19 NLT.

\”Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city. We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall.\” Proverbs 16:32‭-‬33 NLT.

\”Telling lies about others is as harmful as hitting them with an ax, wounding them with a sword, or shooting them with a sharp arrow.\” Proverbs 25:18 NLT.

Life Has A Purpose

God wants a personal relationship with every human being, which is beyond religious, political or secular opinions and ideologies.
This is because He created you to fulfill a unique purpose in this world.

Your uniqueness is irreplaceable because you\’re a Master-piece in God\’s Master-plan for humanity and the world at large.
But without a relationship with the Father, life becomes meaningless and oftentimes, self-disruptive.

However, a personal relationship with God, the Monarch and Grand Architect of heaven & earth, would bring you into an alignment with your unique purpose in life, so that you would be empowered to fulfill the script that was already written about  you, and live your life by design (God\’s Masterplan), rather than by default (without a purpose).

My favorite quotes for the day;
\”Thou hast made us for thyself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in thee.” Saint Augustine

“The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but a life without a purpose.” Dr Myles Munroe

“The graveyard is the richest place on the surface of the earth because there you will see the books that were not published, ideas that were not harnessed, songs that were not sung, and drama pieces that were never acted.” Dr Myles Munroe

\”Your life is like a book. The title page is your birthday written on your behalf, the preface is your introduction to the world. The last page is your death date, also written by another person.
But the middle pages are left blank and it\’s up to you to decide the type of story to be inscribed in your book of life.\” Clems

From Lemons To Lemonade

2020 will go down in the book of history as the year the whole world was held hostage by an invisible enemy.
Many lives were lost and economies destroyed.
This invisible enemy has taken alot of hotages and sadly most hostages will never recover.

If you are alive and healthy today, then you have alot to be grateful for!
Just focus on the positives and ignore the negatives, because you can never move forward by looking backwards.

Here goes my favorite quote for the day
\”When life gives you lemons, use them to make lemonade\”

To Your Success

Overcoming Institutional Racism & Ideologies

Everything that humanity has ever achieved (either good or bad) is a product of the human mind.  For out of the human mind proceeds all acts of good deeds or evil deeds.

Racism, tribalism, xenophobia, eugenism, terrorism and all forms of ideologies that propagate the superiority of a particular race or group, whilst subjugating and undermining the co-existence of other races or groups, are the greatest pandemic and threat to the peaceful existence of every society.
And these evil ideologies are the products of the contaminated human mind.

Through the Universal Law of Creation, God has endowed every human being with a creative mind, unique identify and potentials. Hence every human being is a Unique Masterpiece, because you\’re the Unique Piece of the Master and Monarch of the Universe. You were created with the potentials to become successful by leveraging your unique creative abilities.

Unfortunately, we live in a world were evil thrive because the few good men & women, are either too afraid or selfish to stand up against all forms of discrimination, injustices and evil ideologies that are daily propagated by the popular voices from contaminated human minds.

History is replete with examples of the atrocities committed in various nations through the propagation of evil ideologies, whilst subjugating the voices of the few good men & women. Examples include; massacre of the Jews by the evil ideology of the Nazis, the genocide in Rwanda, and the massacre of Christians by Islamic terrorists in various countries (e.g the sytematic looting & killing of Igbos/Biafra in Nigeria).

It\’s not a coincidence, that the greatest weapon often used by propagandists of evil ideologies is the control of knowledge and information. The same weapon used by slave owners to keep the slaves in generational bondages, by banning them from learning how to read and write. Thus keeping them in both physical and mental bondages, by denying them access to the information & knowledge that will lead to their emancipation.

My favorite book says, \”You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.\” The education system in most countries, especially within the BAME (Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic) communities, has become the new weapon of modern day enslavement and propagation of evil ideologies that contaminates the human minds.

I am referring to the education system that has systematically replaced the teaching of BAME history, moral instructions, entrepreneurship, whilst propagating the teaching of all forms of immoralities, ideologies and skills that limit students to employees, instead of business owners.
Discrimination & enslavement of all types can never be defeated, until the human mind is emancipated from the  bondage of the evil ideologies enshrined in the various fabrics of the constitution, educational, social & economic systems in many nation, designed to favour a particular race or group, and impoverish others

Following the recent murder of George Floyd, many people around the world are uniting in one voice to fight against racism, discrimination and all forms of institutional evil ideologies designed to foster segregation and keep the human minds in generational bondage.
My favourite book says, \”Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.\” (Romans 12:2 NLT)

Thanks for taking time to read this piece.  I hope this will facilitate a much needed paradigm shift and transformation that will eventually defeat the bondage of institutionalised evil ideologies, racism and all forms of discrimination and systematic enslavement.

Global Cov-19 Pandemic Bonkers

It\’s becoming increasingly difficult to switch on the TV or log on to any social media, without being bombarded with so much negative news regarding the current pandemic.

The media platforms are continuously giving us
the statistics of the number of people who are dead and many more that would still die.
The current media frenzy and fear mongering, is reminiscent of a concentration camp strategy targeted at the  inmates to drive them bonkers and breakdown their self-esteem, so that they will surrender to the authority.

This is not surprising, because the main stream media generate majority of there profits by leveraging the 5C (Controversy, Conflict, Confusion, Change & Control).

As this global lockdown continues, let us filter the news we focus on, so that we can protect our mental health, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Otherwise, we might reach a boiling point where the most vulnerable in the society, especially the elderly, children and the disabled would no longer cope.

LET\’S MAKE THIS GO VIRAL!

Corona Effect & Social Impact on Human Behavior

This was the photo of my local Tesco store in London, on Thursday 19th of March 2020.

We are increasingly seeing that alot of people are panicking and emptying stores across UK and other countries because of the news of Corona virus.
Germany, France and some other countries have closed their borders to the outside world, to control the spread of this virus.
People have been ordered to stay at home and practice social distancing.
This brings me to main topic of this discussion; Corona Effect & Social Impact on Human Behaviour.
Historians have said that in every 100 years, the world is always faced with a different type of pandemic. The previous one was the Spanish flu in 1920.
It\’s important to point out that many countries have already witnessed alot of epidemics since 1920, including Ebola, Swine flu, etc.
However, these diseases were not classified as pandemic because they didn\’t affect the whole world.
What the whole world is witnessing today, is a virus that has killed alot of people and crippled the economies of nations.
The social Impact of this pandemic has affected the way humans relate and do business globally.
Prior to the outbreak of this virus, most people would never have imagined living in a world that could be locked down by a single event, in this case a Corona virus.
This shows how defenceless and fragile human lives and global economies could be in the face of a superior opposition or any attack which doesn\’t care whether you are black, white, Hispanic, Asian or even your political and religious affiliations.
Most people are gradually coming to terms with the fact that the human life is not just physical, it\’s also spiritual.
I dare to say that many people would be most adversely affected by the fear, economic and social impacts of this virus than the number of people that actually contracted the virus.
The human race has a common enemy and the scripture gave us insight on how to identify and cope with the perilous times, here is what Jesus said over 2000 years ago:
So Jesus said again, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, I am the Door for the sheep [leading to life]. All who came before Me [as false messiahs and self-appointed leaders] are thieves and robbers, but the [true] sheep did not hear them.  I am the Door; anyone who enters through Me will be saved [and will live forever], and will go in and out [freely], and find pasture (spiritual security).  The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].\” John 10:7‭-‬10 AMP
Therefore, don\’t live in fear for we are going to weather this storm and come out victorious and stronger. Use the following words to encourage yourself and others:
\”Darkness as black as night covers all the nations of the earth, but the glory of the Lord rises and appears over you.\” Isaiah 60:2 NLT
\”Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.\” Psalms 91:5‭-‬7 NLT
